We care about the environment and your baby. That’s why we use 100% natural fibre, Organic 100 certified cotton and fully renewable merino wool. And when the garment eventually reaches the end of its life, it will break down much more quickly than man made materials like polyester.

Our super soft Woolbabe fabric is yarn dyed and specially knitted with a mix of 30% Australian merino wool and 70% Organic 100 certified cotton (180gsm). The merino component helps give the fabric a wide temperature range as it helps to regulate a baby’s temperature - it keeps baby cool and fresh in warmer temperatures, and toasty warm in cooler weather. It also wicks moisture away from the skin, which is perfect for sweaty wee babes and those transitional periods when it’s hot at bedtime, but cools quickly during the night. You can rest assured knowing your baby will be at the right temperature all night long. In fact, many of our customers have reported that their baby’s have slept through the night for the first time when wearing their Woolbabes!

Combining merino with certified organic cotton gives the fabric extra durability and ensures the fabric is easy-care (yes, it’s machine washable!). After all, who has time to wash by hand when you’re a parent!? This also helps your Woolbabe garments last for multiple children - our Sleeping Bags are often handed down to two or three (or more) subsequent babies, giving you great value for money and ensuring we’re taking care of the environment.
